A research fund for the materials of the future

The Gunnar Sundblad Research Foundation aims to promote the development, renewal, and competitiveness of the wood fiber-based industry. This is achieved through support within a broad field of research activities.

The foundation particularly wants to contribute to new insights into product requirements and product opportunities.

In focus for the foundation

  • Initiatives that can pave the way for larger investments in collaboration with other funders.

When and how to apply for funding?

The foundation annually awards between 1 and 1.5 million SEK. 700,000 SEK constitutes the Competence Development Award, which is the foundation's largest investment. The foundation also awards the Young Researcher's Award of 400,000 SEK. The application deadline is November 20, 2025.
